主要致力于园艺作物功能基因组学研究。课题组以香蕉、苹果、草莓等重要园艺作物为研究对象,利用ENCODE的方法体系创建园艺作物品质形成和采后成熟、衰老及逆境生物学大数据平台,并阐释重要性状的分子调控机制,为高品质园艺作物育种提供关键的功能位点。

研究方向:
园艺作物品质形成及逆境响应由严格精细的网络调控,以确保对发育过渡和逆境可塑性的准确性和组织特异性的控制。本课题组主要以园艺作物香蕉为研究对象,利用
ENCODE的方式和技术体系创建多维度功能基因组数据,通过全景组解析香蕉在发育成熟过程、生物/非生物胁迫等条件下的基因表达、染色质可及性、DNA甲基化和组蛋白修饰等动态变化和转录因子结合位点,及非编码调控位点的功能注释,在全基因组层面上剖析生物学过程的转录调控网络,为高品质、抗逆的香蕉提供精准调控位点与设计育种靶点。

同时,课题组自主可控的植物ENCODE优化技术及配套的生物信息分析技术,可以快速对接到园艺植物和农作物其它物种的研究上。除了香蕉,目前课题组以自主或合作研究方式开展甜瓜、草莓、苹果、番茄等重要园艺作物,及水稻、大豆等重要农作物的功能基因组学,非编码调控元件挖掘和鉴定等研究工作,为高品质作物育种提供重要参考信息。
